Is Vaultbreakers free?

Yes. Steam lists Vaultbreakers as free to play, and the demo is free as well. There is no paid early access and no price has ever been announced.

When is the release date?

Unannounced - Steam says To Be Announced. The confirmed schedule items are the demo (live since October 8, 2026) and the Alpha Test (October 15-21, 2026). See the release date page for the full status.

What is in the demo?

Two playable Vaultbreakers (Nymera and Bjornir), part of the first region Wolfswood, the quest chain up to your first Vaultbreak, Haven and crafting systems, and co-op for up to three players. The demo guide walks through it all.

Why can't I play Lumiri, Sparkwing or Thora?

They exist in the game's systems but the patch notes mark all three as "not in the demo" - they arrive in later builds, starting with the content waves around the Alpha Test and launch.

Does my progress carry over?

Yes, in two stages. Demo progress carries into the Alpha Test, and Legacy Points - earned from quests and challenges - carry over after launch, unlocking permanent rewards. The progression page explains the systems.

What are the differences between difficulties?

Adventure is the learning mode, Core adds rarer loot and harder enemies, and Breaker is PvPvE where death costs you the run's gear. Supreme and Legendary loot requires Core or higher for the whole party. Full comparison on the difficulty page.

Does it support controllers?

Yes - DualShock and DualSense are fully supported, other pads partially, and the October update expanded controller navigation through inventory, crafting and social menus.

Where do I report bugs and give feedback?

Through the official Discord (discord.gg/vaultbreakers) and the Steam discussion forums. BetaDwarf has run feedback surveys after every test and acts on them - the difficulty split itself came from player feedback.

Is there crossplay or console support?

Only Windows PC via Steam is announced so far. Console versions have not been mentioned officially, so the release date page tracks that question alongside the launch window.
